❖ Version History ❖

Within the span of the last week so many things have happened with The Great Chase that it is legitimately hard to keep up. By now, we have received the first half of our prototype shipment, we have been issued complaints about international borders, and these issues (as well as many notes on our final production) have all been resolved in a concise and timely manor to make certain we cause as few delays as possible in the final steps of getting this game to market.

After having only just sent back my fixes on the map cards a day or two before, I now once again meet up with Matt to discuss the arrival of the second package from China. This package only contains a few items, but they are all really cool parts! This package is pictured above and contains: a copy of the box with the final artwork of the Kickstarter Edition added to it, as well as the graphic felt pouch, and the specialty plane pieces.

The only issue at this point in time that we have uncovered is that the cardboard box will no longer fit within the container of the metal Kickstarter Exclusive box. This is a real tragedy of a situation, but we quickly come up with a way to manage this. Instead of giving the Kickstarter Exclisive artwork on the cardboard box, we decided to include a larger & nicer felt pouch to contain all of the game parts, and include the cool map/ plane logo that I created for my business card ages ago:

Though it is sad to me that we will lose the cardboard box for the exclusive editions, I am happy to think that we can provide a nice looking and original piece of art for the game that no one else will ever receive in their rendition or kit of it! It does feel like it will remain a special experience… plus, who wants a box within a box anyway? I say it’s almost cooler to have the pouch within the metal box. Hopefully everyone else will feel the same about this in the end!
