Fado Fado, as the Legends Always Go…

There was a time of peace and harmony in nature. Four Ancient Faeries took turns governing over the Earth, and in time these short eras became known as the seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. For many years these Ancient Faeries and their courts of lesser Fae lived undisturbed, until a previously unknown Ancient Faerie arose to unsettle the balance of things. This new Faerie court sought to govern their own season each year, the time of brown rusted nature & iron-like cold that comes between the Autumn and Winter… a time that they referred to as: The Ferric Season. With the rise of the Ferric Faeries came an unprecedented event: for the first time ever members of the faerie courts abandoned their posts within each season. Members of the Winter court mixed places with those of Summer, Springtime faeries found themselves entwined with the harvest of Autumn, Ferric faeries disguised themselves as members of all other courts, and all sense of balance was lost for the first time in history.

As a player in Calendra, you now govern over one season in the hope of finding a new balance! You will control 30 random cards, which represent members of all five faerie courts: winter, spring, summer, autumn, & ferric. The game consists of small rounds of gameplay, where each player reveals one faerie card into play each turn until a winning combination is assembled. At first, this will only be achievable in a mix of seasons, but eventually with wit and guile, someone will be able to assemble a faerie court using only the cards from the season they represent, thus winning the game!
